About Jalna — A Brief History
Jalna sits in the northern part of Marathwada, beside the Kundlika river. The town has been an important market since at least the time of the Mughal viceroyalty in the Deccan, and its name shows up in early Mughal land-revenue papers as Jalna-Pura.
