About Bhopal — A Brief History

Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, was founded in the early eighteenth century by the Afghan soldier-administrator Dost Mohammed Khan, who turned the older Hindu settlement around the Bhojtal the great lake attributed to the Paramara king Raja Bhoj into a fortified Indo-Islamic town.
