About Ambala — A Brief History

Ambala sits in the north-eastern corner of Haryana, just at the foot of the Shivalik hills where the state runs into Himachal and Punjab. The town gets its name from the Goddess Bhawani Amba, whose old shrine still stands in the heart of the older city.
